I am sure, somewhere along the line, you have heard that “the only thing man ever learns from history, is that man never learns from history.” Even science tells us, that at one point in time the world was totally under water! As Christians we look at the “great flood” of Genesis 6. Al Gore and his cronies, I’m sure, have another interesting theory.
If I have my choice, and I do, between believing Al or God---guess who wins! So, with that in mind, lets take a little journey down memory lane in the Bible. Genesis 6 tells us, “And God saw the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and the imaginations of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.” Verse 5 “And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me---I will destroy them with the earth.” Verse 13
We are told that the earth was filled with violence, perversion and corruption---but what is likewise said or at least implied is: God was no longer “essential”---His Words meant nothing. Man was now in control and doing his own thing and God and His desires were no longer the norm. Even the inventions of man’s mind were bent on evil.
Flip forward to Genesis 19---even after God destroying the whole world, save Noah and his family, wickedness once again consumes Sodom and Gomorrah. God is “non-essential”---His Words totally ignored. His warnings mean nothing. Man is his own God, living however he pleases and God is relegated to a level of total “non-essentialism!” And as with the flood, there are those to this day, in eternal damnation who wish they had listened. Remember---someday there will be no more tomorrows!
Go with me to Proverbs 1:20-33 “Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets.” See how many times in the next verses He says that He has called unto us, warned us, pleaded with us---yet---“you have refused to listen,” “you have set at nought all my counsel”----THEREFORE---(ONE OF THE SADDEST STATEMENTS OF THE BIBLE)---in more modern terms, “Therefore, because you wouldn’t listen. In spite of warnings and warnings---you deemed me “non-essential” and my Word “non-essential”---THEREFORE---“I will laugh at you in your day of calamity. When your fear comes as desolation; and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me but they shall not find me.” Whether we believe it or not---THAT day is coming and I firmly believe soon. Pay attention my friend. The signs of His coming surround us!
Thank God for Prov. 1:33 “But whoso hearkenth unto me shall dwell safely; and shall be quiet from fear of evil.” Praise the Lord!
One more Bible trip---Romans 1 begin around the 18th verse and read to the end but verse 21 says, “BECAUSE (kind of like “therefore”) Because that when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations (there’s that word again) and their foolish heart was darkened.”
God was deemed “non-essential!”
Partner, history is repeating itself and unless I miss my guess so will the outcome. There are elected officials in this once “One Nation Under God” who have set massage parlors, liquor stores and tattoo parlors above God’s house. Where are the cries from these officials for stepped up prayer? Days of fasting and prayer? Where are the cries, “WE NEED GOD IN AMERICA AGAIN?” Planned parenthood is essential but not God???
Church services limited to 10 people while 100’s are shopping at Walmart. Pastors arrested while hardened criminals are let out to rape and kill again.
Remember the warning: “As it was in the days of Noah”---guess what---we’re there. Violence, perversion and corruption rule our land, and God??? Well He’s not considered essential! The lies and wickedness of the media and some politicians is staggering!
If you could take my calls for one day you would hear the devastating toll Satan has leveled on our land. From crying, desperate parents to kids who simply have no hope!
The “fields are white unto harvest.” More white than I have ever seen them in 47 years of serving Him. But “the laborers are so few”---fewer than ever.
I have watched and endured the viciousness and hate of Satan’s crowd. I warned people years ago where this “social media” was headed and I can honestly say that Satan doesn’t have a bigger tool in his wicked arsenal than the internet and social media. Oh, are there good things about it, of course---he always mixes enough good in the apple to deceive. It wasn’t a dirty bruised apple that got Eve and Adam. But beware my friend!!! Every one of Satan’s apples has a worm in it someplace.
For the dozens and dozens who have asked, “What do we do now?” Read Matt. 25! First parable: Wise and foolish virgins. BE READY! Second parable: Talents. Make sure you have used your life for Him and done His will for your life! Third parable: “In as much as you have done it unto the least of these my brethren.” Live, give, serve, touch lives and pray you hear “Well done!” Thank God for the comfort of His Word!
